Elevating the Flight School Experience
From your first flight to advanced ratings, High Country Flight Training delivers a modern aviation training experience built around premium aircraft, advanced avionics, and the demanding flying environment of Bozeman, Montana.

Private Pilot Program
Your private pilot certificate is the foundation for personal aviation. Whether your goal is flying for business, recreation, family travel, or future aircraft ownership, training should be built around more than meeting minimum requirements.
High Country gives students a modern, structured path into aviation with advanced aircraft, glass cockpit technology, and instruction focused on confidence, judgment, and long-term capability. You will learn how to manage the aircraft, communicate clearly, plan intelligently, and operate with the discipline expected of a capable pilot.

Instrument Training Program
The instrument rating is one of the most valuable upgrades a private pilot can earn. It expands your capability when weather, visibility, and workload demand more precision from both the pilot and the aircraft.
Training is built around practical IFR operations, including route planning, procedures, approaches, holds, avionics workflows, communication, and decision-making under pressure. The result is a more composed pilot with greater control over the flight environment.

Commercial Pilot Program
The Seminole gives students a refined path into multi-engine flying with twin Lycoming engines, stable handling, and a Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck. It is purpose-built for advanced ratings and professional aviation progression.
For students moving beyond single-engine training, the Seminole introduces engine-out procedures, complex aircraft management, and multi-engine decision making in a proven, modern training aircraft.

Flight Instructor Program (CFI/CFII)
The CFI certificate is where pilots stop building hours and start building other pilots. High Country offers CFI and CFII training for pilots ready to teach, deepen their understanding of the material, or work toward the hours needed for a regional career.
Training is built around what it takes to become a competent instructor, not just a certificated one. The result is a pilot who can think from the right seat, communicate clearly under pressure, and hold students to a real standard.
Additional Ratings & Advanced Training
For pilots ready to build beyond Private, Instrument, and Commercial, High Country offers the next level of training pathways, from advanced aircraft endorsements to instructor development and Montana-specific proficiency.
